Lose Fat Then Build Muscle

Posted by admin on 15th July 2008

According to Chad Waterbury, if you want to totally change the way you look, and you have to lose fat as well as build muscle, you should lose the fat first. His reasons include the fact that you will look bigger when you loose some fat, giving you some noticeable results quickly. This really helps with the motivation. He also suggests that the fatter you are the more fat you will store. In his 10/10 Transformation Chad’s programming is based on alternating three week blocks of fat loss and muscle gain. He has found that a number of people who follow this program add some muscle during the fat loss stage and loose some fat during the muscle gain stage.

If your interested in a good no BS 12 week program to build 10 lb of muscle and loose 10lb of fat, you should check out Chad Waterbury’s 10/10 Transformation.

The Value of Persistence

Posted by admin on 14th July 2008

Building large amounts of muscle mass or developing high levels of strength are not things that you can do overnight. It takes months, if not years to make truly appreciable progress. Given this, it is obvious that persistence and lots of it are a necessary attribute to help you get where you want to be. It is easy to be motivated when you are a beginner and you are getting improvements with minimal effort, it is a different thing entirely when you have hit a plateau or when life keeps on getting in the road of your training. This is when persistence will play its part – helping you stay focused on your training and getting into the gym when you have other things that you want ot do.

Bodybuilding Greats – Larry Scott

Posted by admin on 13th July 2008

Larry “The Legend” Scott won the first ever Mr Olympia in 1965 and he followed this up with another win in 1966. He overcame what was considered to be poor genetics for bodybuilding and had the Mr America and Mr Universe titles to his credit before he took the Olympia title. He is considered to have a pair of the best biceps in bodybuilding history and attributes his long and full bicep development to an exercise he invented, the “Scott Curl.” Here is a short video of Larry at the 1965 Mr Olympia.
