How Balanced Is Your Training?

Posted by admin on 8th May 2008

Do you have a muscle group or a movement pattern that you don’t like to train?  Don’t worry, its fairly normal. Problems only arise if you either don’t train it the same as other patterns or comparable body-parts and even worse if you don’t train it at all.

Lots of people hate to train legs hard. They will bench heavy for multiple sets but only do a couple of sets of squats or perhaps leg presses (squats are hard work.) It is no wonder that you see people with no balance to their physiques or their strength.

The same concept can be applied to any movement pattern or muscle group. You should aim for balance in how you train, in your physique and in your strength.

Bodybuilding Greats – Sergio Oliva

Posted by admin on 3rd May 2008

Sergio “The Myth” Oliva is one of the greatest bodybuilders of all time and has won nearly every well known bodybuilding competition during his career. These include the Mr World, Mr International, Mr Universe and the Mr Olympia titles. Sergio had a truly amazing physique with broad shoulders, small waist and long, full muscles pretty much throughout his body. This video is of the intro and his routine at the ’84 Olympia. Although not at his peak, which was in the late 60′s early 70′s, it still shows how impressive his was on stage.
