What is your ONE training goal at the moment? Do you have one or do you have many? Do you want to put on some muscle size and get stronger in the bench and increase your power and lean out a little and prepare for that powerlifting meet and, and …..
While there may well be a crossover between some of these things, it is nearly impossible to do everything you can do to reach one goal without putting another under pressure.
It is generally considered far better to have one major goal or at the most two interconnected goals at one point in time than try to achieve it all. You can always change your goal after you spend to time and energy in the process of meeting this one.
So my question again is “What is your ONE training goal at the moment?”

Many people join gyms with the intention of building some muscle and looking better, yet after a few weeks they stop training. Although they may want to get bigger and stronger, they find that their motivation starts to wain. They find that the results don’t come quick enough (it is important to set realistic goals,) it takes too much time out of the day (it shouldn’t) or any one of a number of other reasons.
It is important to find what motivates you to train and use that to ensure your long-term progress. Use goal-setting, visualisation, inspirational photos and quotes, find a training partner to work with or whatever else you need to do to maintain your motivation for each and every workout at a high level.
Go for it!!

Here is a great quote that is very applicable to building a great physique, getting really strong or having a spectacular life.
Watch your thoughts; they become words.
Watch your words; they become actions.
Watch your actions; they become habits.
Watch your habits; they become character.
Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.
Unfortunately I can’t confirm who wrote this great quote but whoever it is has a great handle on the human condition.
